Sunday Pre-Conference Workshop: Utilizing Shared Medical Appointments to Empower Women Through Menopause and Beyond

As healthcare providers increasingly recognize the importance of addressing the unique needs of women during the menopause transition and beyond, innovative care models are essential for improving outcomes and enhancing patient satisfaction. Shared medical appointments (SMAs) represent a promising, evidence-based approach to delivering high-quality lifestyle medicine care tailored specifically for women in this stage of life. This interactive workshop brings together three experienced leaders in women’s health and lifestyle medicine, who collectively offer over 30 years of expertise in developing and facilitating SMAs for women during perimenopause and postmenopause. The presenters have successfully implemented diverse SMA models in clinical and healthcare system settings, focusing on evidence-based interventions, patient empowerment, and sustainable care delivery. The session will be dynamic, blending presentations, live polls, interactive activities, and open discussions to ensure active participation and knowledge sharing. This session offers a unique opportunity to learn from experienced professionals who have successfully navigated the complexities of SMA implementation. Participants will leave with practical tools, actionable strategies, and renewed enthusiasm for supporting women in optimizing their health and well-being during and beyond menopause. Join us for this engaging and empowering workshop to revolutionize care delivery for women during one of the most pivotal stages of their lives. Together, we can create supportive, evidence-based environments that foster health, resilience, and vitality for women navigating menopause and beyond.
