Portuguese Lifestyle Medicine Board Review, 4th ed. (NO CME/CE)

The American College of Lifestyle Medicine is pleased to offer a Brazilian Portuguese translation of Foundations of Lifestyle Medicine Board Review, 4th edition.

The Foundations of Lifestyle Medicine Board Review is an evidence-based course designed to provide a review of and successfully prepare candidates for the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine (IBLM) Certification Exam (IBLM.org). This course development was led by coauthors and faculty Jeni Shull Clayton, MD, MPH, DipABLM, FACLM, and Jonathan Bonnet, MD, MPH, DipABOM, DipACLM, FAAFP, FACLM, with additional support from subject matter experts in the field of lifestyle medicine. 


The Brazilian Portuguese translated Foundations of Lifestyle Medicine Lifestyle Medicine Board Review Course, 4th Edition includes an eBook manual and online access to course components that cover Lifestyle Medicine Core Competences and information from which questions are written for the Lifestyle Medicine Certification Exam. The manual features 10 content sections, with detailed graphics, tables and figures, glossaries of terms, and an index. The online course includes an eBook, downloadable quiz questions for each of the 10 content sections, a downloadable summary of key lifestyle medicine articles, and an end of course survey. 

Description

This course fulfills the 30 online credit hours as a prerequisite to take the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine (IBLM) certification exam. Enrollees seeking a certificate of completion will be required to read the material, complete quiz questions, and submit the end of course survey to receive their Certificate of Completion.  If you wish to use this course to qualify for the IBLM board exam, you must submit your Certificate of Completion to IBLM.  

The Foundations Lifestyle Medicine Board Review Course is comprised of 10 sections with 12 lectures, and consists of 30 hours of content.  

Each section is broken down with the following course materials: 

  • Introduction 
  • Review Lecture 
  • Quiz 
  • Survey evaluation

Course Format

The Foundations of Lifestyle Medicine Board Review, 4th edition, is hosted online via the ACLM Learning Management System (LMS) and consists of 3 main components:  

  • COMPONENT 1 - Board Review eBook and Quiz Questions (20 hours): The interactive eBook manual is available after course purchase and can be accessed offline and via mobile device. The 354-page eBook consists of 10 sections with detailed graphics, table, and figures and an index.
  • COMPONENT 2 - Online Review Lectures (10 hours): There are 10 hours of review lectures that correspond with the board review eBook.
  • COMPONENT 3 - Section Quizzes: There are 10 section quizzes that consist of 180 total questions, that correspond with each of the 10 eBook sections and review lectures.

Target Audience

This course is applicable for interprofessional healthcare team including physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician associates, registered dietitians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, other health professionals working with chronic disease prevention or treatment, certified health coaches, and clinicians in training.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Review the pillars of evidence-based lifestyle medicine and how it can prevent, treat and reverse disease.
  • Review evidence-based lifestyle medicine prescriptions and their clinical application.
