Wednesday Post-Conference Workshop: Tech and Tools in Lifestyle Medicine: Leveraging Care or Adding to the Digital Burden?
This workshop explores the use of technology in lifestyle medicine, examining its potential to improve patient care, support behavior change, and enhance clinician efficiency. However, it also explores the challenges of digital tools, such as overwhelming options, patient and provider burnout, and disparities in access. Participants will learn how to incorporate evidence-based digital tools into their practice while mitigating these challenges, ensuring both patients and providers thrive in a tech-enabled healthcare environment. By incorporating experiential activities and case-based learning, this workshop aims to help participants design personalized, tech-enhanced care models for their patients. It will also address behavioral health integration, focusing on tools that promote mental well-being, reduce stress, and foster adherence to lifestyle interventions. This workshop is designed for physicians, allied health professionals, health coaches, and other healthcare providers committed to lifestyle medicine. It is tailored for professionals at any career stage interested in integrating technology effectively into their practice. The responsible integration of technology in healthcare is essential for lifestyle medicine practitioners. This workshop addresses the critical need for strategies to leverage digital tools effectively while maintaining patient connection, avoiding burnout, and promoting behavioral health. Participants will gain actionable insights to transform their practice and provide compassionate, tech-enabled care.
