
Module 3: Community
Description: This module explores how the Life Radius® model—focused on people, places, and policies—is applied in Blue Zones Project® communities to improve population health. Emphasizing a systems-level approach, it shows how reshaping environments drives sustainable behavior change. Participants will review real-world examples of successful interventions that improve well-being and gain practical ideas for diverse settings. The module also addresses challenges in applying the Power 9® principles and offers evidence-informed strategies to overcome them. A key focus is health equity—learners will examine how Blue Zones strategies can be adapted to promote inclusive access to health-supporting resources and opportunities in all communities.
Target Audience
This course is applicable for interprofessional healthcare team including physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered dietitians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, other health professionals working with chronic disease prevention or treatment, certified health coaches, and clinicians in training.
